Celica gt4 r reg
its a jap import, anyone know the specs of this car, i.e. 0-60, 0-100, standing 1/4...not much info on the web about these cars...
Also whats it like to a 99 UK impreza turbo with the PPP ???

The ST205 is meant to be 250bhp as standard.
My mate drives a MY94 ST205 WRC Model, with the Full Castrol Replica Graphics which when standard ran up 270bhp on Dastek's Rollers.
Now he's fitted a Blitz Boost Controller the car is alot more responsive and closer to 300bhp running 1.2bar peak boost. With the controller working, he's been running 13.7 @ Crail, off the line his car is very impressive (1.8sec 0-60ft times) I was catching him up in 1st and 2nd gear, and only went past him mid/end of 3rd Gear in my slightly breathed on PPP'd MY99 UK 4dr I went onto a 13.3 @ 105 and his was a 13.7 @ 101mph.
Its changed since then, had wheels coated white, and got the Red Rally Style Mud Flaps on it now...
They are very nice cars... IMO Better built than a Classic Scoob, and look VERY nice in Black with subtle mods.
Check out the Owners Club at the link above, they will give you a bit of grief about having a Scooby, but its just banter...........they are a nice lot really!!

cheers grant, i've noticed a few cars have the jump on the scooby in 1st and 2nd gear, but the scooby does pull alot harder once in 3rd, recently raced a Golf R32 and i only pulled away after i put it in 3rd.

Standard figures are basically
0-60 6 seconds (this is every time not burning the clutch - Autocar once did 5.2 sec I think but I doubt the car will last long doing that !)
0-100 14.5 seconds
1/4 mile 13.9 seconds
These are averaged from various sources on a standard car.
As for what's it like against a 99 with PPP. I have cough cough tested my standar GT4 against a mates scooby with a similar package to PPP and I can say it was close but he did have the edge - pulling away gradually at the higher speeds. Great fun though !!
Best thing about the Gt4 and the 3sgte engine is its modability - loverly strong internals / gearbox - crying out for 350 bhp plus. get on www.gt4oc.com forum
