Audi S4??
Was looking for another Scoob today and came across a S4 Audi Avant. Quite fancied it but anybody had one can tell me about them.

I had a my99 S4 and it was a nice car...but, all in my humble opinion:
The gearchange action is horrible...long and imprecise, I fixed that with a shortshift kit.
Brakes and steering ... very little feedback as standard, don't inspire confidence or encourage you to 'press on' really.
Standard seats were not very supportive, the recaro option can't be ordered and retrofit, so try and get a car with them already specced.
All in all it was a lovely motorway basher, but (as standard) it wasn't inspiring 'in the twisties' . I kept mine for about 6 months, in the end decided it wasn't worth the running costs (service and fuel) for the fun it delivered. If you want to modify it (brakes/suspension/'chip' then they can be made into fast cars.

Cheers chaps.
Was concerned about fuel costs especially and had heard that brakes were strong but not progressive. Maybe get a new scoob instead.
