Got a ride in one of these last weekend.

Absolutely superb, serious power and looks, plus about 3,000 buttons, lights and gizmos, including a fully functional TV for the driver - which switches off as soon as the car moves.

Very nice and a snip at around £90k!!!

i raced or should i say provoked an sl55 amg in my ex renault 19 16v, just hoping he would give it some, and he did, made a nice roar and took off very fast indeed, there are a few quick cars that can beat them to 60 but on the open road they are pretty much untouchable.

a friend has one what a lovely car , you dont even need keys, the car knows when the owner is near and the car is open, also all you have to do to start it is press a button

I was overtaken on the freeway last night by an SL55AMG (I think, it was a blur) ... I was cruising at about 160kh and suddenly I hear this roar followed by the AMG overtaking me at such rate of speed than my car was almost blown off the lane by the air movement! Must have been doing AT LEAST 1.5 times my speed, so say 240-260 kph.

I have an SLK230K pushing 240bhp as thats the only Merc I can afford! Seriously would LOVE an SL65 AMG that is coming out soon. 6 Litres Twin Turbo, pop it down to my buddys at Kleemann and £10k later 700bhp and 700lb-s torque.

I had an SL350 for the nurberg ring last weekend. What a fantastic car that was.

Arrived on Friday and it was snowing ...... did it stop us, did it heck.

SL65 had 612hp, and i think 738 lb/ft
