Default 205 ready for Nurburgring next weekend..pics

New rad is fitted the lights are sorted and im ready to go .....trackday this weekend and Nurburgring over Easter. Thought I would give her a quick clean and polish, before it rained tonight...

What do you think? externally she is as she rolled off the forecourt, internally a bit different

Not bad for 14 year old french clutter ehh? and the best way to stop it from rattling is to strip it I say.

I wondered how long it would be before you made an appearance DW.

The morettes look good but in fairness they are all over the shop with regards to adjustment and vision ....great for lighting deer in the field to the left or right but not so good for the road ahead. I have fitted them with some very powerfull bulbs now and done the best possible alignment and they are much better, but still not perfect. I think I was spoiled with my old 172 clio, which has the best lights i have ever seen.

Car looks the business, expect rain and watch out for the locals in Mk2 Golfs overtaking you (before they crash that is).

I got a standard 1.9 last week and am seriously considring taking it up to the 'ring for a work out. Worried that it will rattle itself to bits on the Karussell though.

The only thing that detracts from a superb looking motor, are the three different tyres you can see on the three wheels visible in the first picture. Surely you're not going to run around the 'ring with bassett's allsorts on the car?

Anyone used Avon ZV3's, new design from Avon?

Was in National Tyres on Wednesday getting the Focus sorted, and they had some in, with one on a 1.9 Speedline.

I enquired, and they are £220 for 4 fitted, tracked and balanced.

I'm a picky sod, its the first thing I look at on any car. By my reckoning someone who has matching tyres all round looks after there car, bassetts allsorts on a car, starts me wondering what else the owner has skimped on.

Hiya Karl .....

I'll keep an eye out for you mate, will be nice to say hello.

I must admit the last time I was over there the cars which impressed me the most were the golf's, and old silver alfa and an M3 which was playing with Sabine big time.

I wont worry you on the track though Karl ..... need to spend some time learning this trip, maybe in May when I come back over we can get to grips properly though

You too would have got an accolade up untill the point when you tried to murder that biker...... Still gives me a cold sweat thinking about it now.....I will try and re-pay the favour in 5 weeks, but without the biker

Thumbs up

ah 205's... bIO remembers fondly the fun n country road cannings. The engine in mine was similar spec to yours as well, then it got spanked n written off by a woman driver going the wrong way down a bus lane n into me as a braking block Then it was bought for salvage, fixed n sold n still causing havoc today I believe Anyway check out my 205 pages;

I think the pug should go well, plenty of lift off
Might struggle through Ex-muhle and the straights but plenty of fun else where. Have fun.

Im sure she will be good fun Nozzer .....To be honest mine doesnt seem to suffer too much from lift off oversteer, mores the pity ..... although Im sure with a bit of brutal driving I could provoke some.
She gets up to 110 pretty quickly and thats what I will restrict her to on the straights I think

Looks like rain rain rain and more rain .....GREEEEEEEEAT
