Question Combined Fuel Economy list?

Anyone know of a site anywhere that lists fuel economy for loads of cars? Trying to find what decent sized cars are out there that will do not so bad economy. (Eg. Octavia 1.6, Leon 1.6 both around 40 mpg - what else is out there that isn't painfully slow?)

Yes, but for the price range I'm looking at (up to £8k), there aren't may 2 year old Leon TDi's, Golf TDi's, Octavia TDi's. Well there aren't any. Though there are a few 1.6 petrols. Looking into getting a car with good economy (37mpg+) that's still got a year or more's manufacturers warranty on it - which means 2 year old max / 40k max. I'm bored of buying older tat that hasn't been maintained properly by previous owners, and paying through the teeth to get it sorted. In my experience, cheaper cars (e.g. £2k) are a false economy, as they've never been maintained properly. I'll probably end up with a Company vRS Octavia or Superb PD130, but want to know what the options are if I opt out.

Cheers for the link davedipster

I wouldn't opt out of the company car scheme then! Get the Skoda.

I'm test driving a vRS tomorrow

You were right about the TD's - using Daves link and Autotrader, there are 1-2 year old TD's that come into this price range.
