Bye bye M3........
....Hello 911
Well, after a couple of great years with the E46 M3, I got itchy feet and changed (Tiggers breathes a sigh of relief). I got one of these:
Edited to say: Anyone know how to post pix in SN3?
I do still miss the M3, it was a truely great car! The Porka is a pretty harsh ride, although I believe changing to Pirelli tyres makes a big difference in this respect.
Not sure which one I prefer... I think probably the Beamer at this stage...

Yeah, the sound is great! I just wonder what the sports exhaust sounds like!
I have wrapped it in square brackets, but it still only gives links. I have noticed a couple of pix which were showing on other threads now only appear as links... oh well

the sports exhaust sounds awesome and the advantage of the geniune porsche one is that you get a button to turn the volume down when your not in the mood. (just like the one I have on order for my STi)

Skittles,
Very nice, very nice indeed!
Can't say too much as every thread I post on (and it's not many these days under the new 'Thou shalt love thy webmaster' regime) seems to disappear. I don't think it's me, but just in case can I apologise in advance
tiggers.

Nice
To be able to see pictures you need to go into the user control panel (User CP at top left of page), click on edit options then about 1/2 way down the page in the thread display options you need to tick the show images option.
HTH,
Gareth

Skittles - very nice
You have to have the Porsche sports exhaust - not cheap, but what a sound! A neighbour of mine has a brand new 996 with the PSE. It sounds amazing. It has got quite a hard edged note to it. It makes it sound like a racing Porsche. If you've ever watched the Carrera Cup racing that sometimes supports the British Touring Car series - that is the sound
Chris
Edited to add that if you want a good BBS to speak to other Porsche enthusiasts, click here
