Cool

Check out: www.zed-power.co.uk

The Build Diary section details all the work so far carried out on the car as we slowly prepare it for track day action later this year.

It'll be having:
Hi-Spec monster calipers and big discs
Rollcage
Lightweight bucket seats & harnesses
Quickshift
FMIC
Fuelling chip
Boost upgrade
etc.

Cheers,
Squizz.

Cheers guys!

def - The brakes are going to be upgraded with a Hi-Spec Motorsport kit. Check out: www.hispecmotorsport.co.uk

They'll either be 315mm discs or 335mm, depending on how much room is under the 17" wheels.

Here's the intended kit:

Works out a lot less expensive than AP stuff...

Thumbs up

hiya astraboy,

I'd be a bit of a d1ck to rule out some drift action, wouldn't I...

Mind you I can get some sideways motion at the drop of a hat in this thing at the moment! Far too much for an intended track car, really. Hopefully some planned mods to the rear subframe/shock absorbers/anti-rollbars will stop that though.

Had an unoffical noise test yesterday. 95dba Static, and 93dba on drive-by. Hmmmm. We've yet to get the cat removed and a decent downpipe fitted. At least the HKS Hiper Muffler can fit a bung in the tailbox to reduce the noise.

Brakes first though.

Red face

Oh yeah, def - Castle Coombe.

No doubt I will be getting on track at the 'Coombe this year, but maybe not on the general public days. I've had my fair share of close shaves with Burberry cap wearing numbskulls who can't read, drive, etc.

Castle Coombe has gone right down in my estimation, thanks to chucking 30+ vehicles on track at once, and the marshals taking f*ck all action against the "criminally insane"!

I'll stick to (unfortunately more expensive) club or business organised days.

Nice brakes!!!
My hundy wont be ready till late summer and will have a complete forged and balanced bottom end ,bren zorst, new brakes.
but i will have to wait for more pennys for the boost controller and fmic.
this should see around 260bhp but preps the engine for 500bhp!!!
I will then pay more attention to the handling ie whiteline handling kit fit and rear strut brace.
the cars already lowered and has hks induction and plugs.
hope to see pics of yours sooon

Hey def, that's a serious spec motor you've got there!

Don't forget to give me a wave as you lap me...

I take it you're saving for an electronic boost controller rather than the Dawes/Bren device?

What's your SXOC user id?

Cheers,
Squizz.

http://www.scoobynet.co.uk/bbs/threa...hreadID=293582
loads of 200s there too.
the whole day is 60 sheets and is at North Weald airfield.
You get a drift circuit, a donut arena and a slalom strip.
Massive, massive fun, you should give it a go!
