Wifes car is due to be changed (or so I'm told )
Currently She's driving a P plated 1.4 Golf.
Its been a great car - cheap as chips to run / repair and does everthing asked of it.
I've (er I mean we've) got the Scoob as the "best" car and tend to use Golfy for the shopping / load carrying / kids taxi etc etc etc.
I've around 5k to add to the Golfs value of around 2k - 2.5k.
Spec needed -
4 door hatch
1.6
Cheap to insure / run / service etc
2 - 3 yrs old max.
I'm thinking along the lines of a Focus or Astra and have dismissed Koren tin cans etc.
Anyone any other recomendations ?
Chris

Can't go wrong with a Focus - seen as new model is out this year - prices should be very competative now !
Heard good things about nearly new Nissan Almera's - not a big fan of them myself but someone at work raves about it..
