Mercedes C43 AMG

Just swapped the Scoob (Sti Type RA) for a 1999 T-reg C43 - it took me along time to decide as I loved the scoob so much. But now it's done I have got to say it is great. It doesnt have like the immediate fun factor of the scoob (I would have had both if I could afford it) but boy does it go. From 50-100 mph it is atleast a match and possibly faster. I wanted a car as fast, but with toys and more refinement - this was the perfect result. It's a great Q-car too.

Yup - they are a bit "couch" style i.e. cruiser, people don't seem to understand the performance of them though - i.e. keep yer foot in and watch it waft along at great speed LOL..
Not as fun as a scoob, but deffo more relaxing +long distance job..
I used to have a CLK430 AMG before the scoob..

Picked up my c32 AMG last week. Its great. On full throttle it feels at least as fast as my previous STis. Obviously does'nt handle like a Scoob, but I now get to my destination( thanks to Satnav) without a bent back and bleeding ears. Scoobs/Mitsis are great but I'm glad I made this choice at this point in my life.

Funny you should say that as I am looking at a 98 s plate one 15k with 55k on the clock, looks tidy with fsh. Am just wondering what it will be like compared with the ATR, will it handle badly through bends or does the RWD need some respect. Is it ok with the TC on.
Cheers, Alex. Are they 0-60 5.5? whats the 0-100 like?

AMG mercs are rediculously underrated in my opinion, ive never even been in one and ill say that. People always harp on about the M series BMW's but what they forget is that the AMG's are actually quicker!!
If i ever had the beans.......an SL55 AMG it would be for me!
If i remember rightly, (assuming you can take the limiter off) the SL55 AMG is arguably the fastest auto in the world? 0-60 in 4.8 and top out about 185?
Neil.

The Brabus E-V12 is the real diguised monster. Based on a standard E Class with a 6 V12. Took this from the Brabus Website
The displacement of the 12-cylinder biturbo engine, which normally resides in a current Mercedes S 600 model, is increased from 5.5 to 6.3 liters.
With these modifications the engine of the BRABUS E V12 delivers a whopping 640 hp / 471 kW at 5,100 rpm and an even more impressive peak torque of 1,026 Nm, available from just 1,750 rpm.
Thus equipped the new BRABUS E V12 delivers performance that places the sedan on a level with the world's fastest sports cars: 4.2 seconds for 0 – 100 km/h, 12.9 seconds for 0 – 200 km/h and an electronically limited top speed of 340 km/h are the performance cornerstones of this exclusive high-performance sedan.
Ok, so thats 730 lb/ft torque, LIMITED top speed of 213mph and all for 300,000 Euros (nearly 200 big ones)......

Nice one !
No replacement for displacement as they say. The 4.3 is a cracker of an engine.
I have a '92 500E which is pretty much on par with the C43. Tis quite good fun toying with Scoobs/Elises/911s etc
