My daily dustbin is a ZX 1.9 TD, does anyone know where i can download some workshop manual type info as i have a problem.
On the top right of the intercooler (looking from above) is a hole, with a thread (about 10mm), it was whistling from here, loosing boost. obviously there should be something there , but i have no idea what.
As a complete bodge, it has a bolt in the hole at the moment, but i can hear it loosing boost from near the turbo somewhere which i think is where the other end of whatever used to be in the intercooler should be. (if that makes any sense)
Any help appreciated,
Thanks
Andy

I've got a 1993 L plate ZX 1.9TD Volcane sat on the drive if I can help at all...
It's my daily drive as well - keep thinking of changing it, but it keeps on going, and when it does go it goes quite well.... For a French heap of oil burning junk.
Anyway - if you want me to look, take pictures, or anything - let me know...

You sure it's losing boost from there?
If you feel it dropping off after a second or so I'd look at your fuel filter - this needs replaced at each service to avoid fuel starvation at full boost/throttle.
From memory the intercooler has an inlet (or outlet?) at the top right - there should be two allen-key headed bolts in this area (one at either side of the inlet (or outlet! ) and a third over at the left.

MrShades (or anyone else)
Here's some photos of the hole i have plugged to stop it whistling (with the bit of silver rod that you can see)
Anyone any idea what should go in there??
I think i can hear boost leaking from somewhere down the back of the engine.
Cheers
Andy
