BMW E39 Fault Codes?
#1
I have a lovely BMW E39 535 Auto in the workshop that refuses to move (snigger)
Called up the faults off the gearbox/engine ECU's to find faults :
Basically the only reference material I have gives a one line description of the faults codes, so they are pretty useless (as usual ) and the autodata CD is as useful as ever
I was wondering if anyone can shed some light or point me in the direction of somewhere (website) that provides a better descriptions of the gearbox system/sensors and fault codes which would be a great help
Symptoms are - drives backwards but not forwards, will engage a foward gear whilst staionary but it will pop back into neutral after a few seconds.
Also getting some very curious live data feed - It reckons all 4 roadwheels are rotating at 16rpm whilst stationary
Called up the faults off the gearbox/engine ECU's to find faults :
- 132 Gear monitoring 2 (implausible signal)
- 134 Gear monitoring 4 (implauible signal)
- 106 Stall-speed monitoring
- 120 Unknown DTC (doh!)
