Does any1 know much about GTR skylines.

My friends,
I have recently taken interest in the GTR skyline range-Mainly gtr32 and gtr33.
Can anyone give me any known facts on them?
The insurance seems to be little more than what I pay on the scooby.
Are skylines B road cars or better on the motorway?

Hi Treg,
I moved on from my old Sti 6 Type R V-LTD to an R33! It was by far the best move i ever made. Ideally the GTR is a motorway car but if you opt for the V-SPec the 4 wheel steer can cope with the b-roads quite well. Performance wise, you can get alot more power out of the engine compared to the Scoob. A stage one scoob is faster upto about 30mph against a skyline but after that its bye bye scoob.
Cheers
Gerry

Engines are very tunable indeed, classic nissan performance car trait.
Always wanted one, always will, and hopefully will get my hands on one in about two years time!
Ive tasted nissan performance and can only think an R33 beasty will be more than awsome!
HIgh costs though, very high costs....

best thing to do mate is get on www.gtr.co.uk and use the search button.
you'll find everything you need.
as far as mpg goes.if your bothered about that then dont get one.
awesome cars when tuned, just make sure you get an uprated oil pump. my r33 when stage 1 run 12.2 sec quarters easily.
turbos arnt that expensive unless you go for the big brand jap names. ive just bought a big garret single for mine for $895 from america. rated for 700bhp+

Lee,
Your new turbo sounds interesting...
What are you doing about manifold and other bits?
How much power are you aiming for?
Jon
(a mear 550bhp 1998 R33 which does 6-25mpg)

hi john
decided to go single......if not for the power, definatley the noise..lol
its a midsize[rated 700+]turbo with similar .ar to a t78 trust.
spoke to hipo gtr off our site regarding different turbo setups and he gave me a lot of good advice. very helpful.
buying a manifold from the same place as the turbo.
i wanted my car to be still a daily driver so decided against a bigger power turbo setup.
if you want the link to the turbo website let me know.
hows your's going after rod has his hands on it? good i hope
