im getting a new turbo and my mate is interested in my old td04.

it has the same engine as the 200sx turbo so will the internals be able to take a turbo being fitted to it

also what would the rough cost be cause he got quoted 4k for a super charger being fiited

the primera uses the sr20det (i think) engine. think this is the same lump as the 200sx.

would cost a fortune to install in the primera. would require ecu upgrades?, intercooling pipework, oil pipework, exhaust pipework. for an extra 47bhp? no worth it in my book considering you can get a mint egt for £1200.

why not get a really decent 200sx s14 touring for about 4-5k?

Primera actually use the SR20DE engine (same as the Sunny GTI). Whereas the 200SX uses a variant of the SR20DET engine (similar to the Sunny/Pulsar GTI-R). There ar a few more differences than just the turbo. The DE engine does not have the under-piston oil sprays of the turbo engine, nor the concentric valve springs. I'm sure there are other differences too, but I can't find the service manuals at present.
