Would the performance be greatly improved if a 2 litre audi a4 with 15k miles on the clock was to be chipped?

What would be a realistic top speed, and what price would it be roughly..??

Sell the 2.0, buy a 1.8T, THEN visit JabbaSport ! Far bigger results.

Second the comments above. Chipping a 2 litre N/A is throwing money down the drain. If you want to tune.... sell it, get a 1.8T and then chip it.... the differences being 2.0 = 130hp + chip approx 140hp if your lucky. 1.8T = 163hp + chip approx 195hp, and if you get the latest 190hp you'd probably get 225hp out of it chipped.

I drove the 190bhp A4 today, and it certainly does cut along nicely, interesting how you can remap your car without it being detected by Audi UK, Mmmmmmmm 225bhp, sounds nice doesnt it...

Defo sell the 2.0 mate, IIRC the 2.0 FSi has 150bhp, so you will be looking at 155-160bhp very max from a re-map.

Cheers,
Grant

Weve just had a 110bhp Diesel Octavia re-mapped by Jabba & now have 162 bhp & 393 N/m of Torque. All with averaging 50 + mpg

Ive also had the 4x4 Octavia re-mapped & thats now 226 bhp with no other mods

So either sell the 2.0 & buy a 1.8T or a Diesel. Same car as the Skoda, you just pay a fortune for the Audi Badge & depending on what your ultimate power requirement & budget is a 1.8T can give 300+ bhp reliably (Bang there goes another Scoob!)

Also if you change look at the 130 bhp Diesel, I guess this with a remap should be pretty quick & cheap to run

To add to Stuart's comments, my new A4 Quattro cost me £23k in 2000 and my Octavia 4x4 is as well built, drives better, is more practical, better equipped as std, but is not 'as sexy'...
... and cost me £11k with 2 years warranty left.
