Looking to buy one of the following 3 cars
#1
Looking for some advice really (and not biased if that's at all possible )
Have decided to change my car and am looking at one of the following options:
Celica GT4 ST202
Mitsubishi Legnum Type S / Galant VR4
Subaru Impreza Turbo UK Model
All cars have roughly the same amount of performance with regards to 0-60 times and all manufacturers have good levels of reliability and service.
At the moment I have to say I quite like the look of the Mitsubishi with plus points going to it's use of Active YAW, Traction Control, Tiptronic and is a 4 door to mention but a few.
Can anyone provide any recommendations or opinions on these?
I know this is a scooby forum but a few people on here seemed to have been around the block a few times. I can see this being a tough choice as all cars are quite good in the twisties

I know what you mean with regards to Toyota reliability, used to have an old 1979 Celica. For the year it had almost electric everything.
Not sure I agree that the GT4 is more different than the VR4 in terms of scarceness. It's also a bit of a wolf in sheep's clothing as it looks almost identical to a normal Galant.
Think you've got me on the Tiptronic bit , I can't justify that.
Basically I'm looking for pace (in standard format)from a standing start, since you can't really do prolonged levels of top end speed on the UK motorways. As much reliability as I can get and something that will stick to the road like glue.

Bigger reliable BHP from the Celica, if that's what you want?
Scoob "nippier" on B-roads, bit more involving?
VR4, isn't that bigger, more like a Legacy B4 or Forester Turbo?

A friend of mine use to have a VR4. It was big heavy and didn't feel that quick, although it would shift some. Bit wobbly round the "twisties" (c). In the end he sold it as it wasn't involving enough for him. Bought a GT4 and is very happy

Toyota tops for quality. Not just my experience but also obvious in the slow depreciation in comparison to the other 2 makes. Subaru most fun but more expensive to run than toyota. Mitsubishi's begin to fall apart when they get a bit over 6 years old but very good when young. VR4 is a wolf in sheeps clothing but it's not a small car and wont be so much fun on B roads.
Get the toyota.
Get the toyota.
