220 is easily possible from a remaped newer 1.8T - haven't seen anybody disagree with the guys on here that have skoda's producing that after a remap - the earlier AGU 1.8T's are only good for about 200 bhp after a remap and downpipe with the standard turbo. yes the VAG TURBOS are dinky - the k03 sport version is maxed out at about 230 bhp - but they start to kick in at about 2000 rpm much earlier than my IHI

Eyal, what suspension/wheels are you running? They ride so hard anyway I was reluctant to spunk yet more money on uprating the dampers.
My Ibiza Cupra had around 200bhp and torque steered like buggery unless the roads were smooth and even. Did feel quicker than a UK Impreza Turbo once rolling though, but it was frustrating to use the car in the wet.

1.6 bar is a lot of boost I hope the internals have been uprated.

hi guy's.
just raced a moded GT couple days ago.
i drive Ibiza 20vt with mod's 220hp(dyno) and the GT have new turbo, air filter, exhaust system, FCD, and boost at 1.6 bar(that's what the driver say's)
any way usually i kill the GT and WRX's with no problem even the STI get kicked by 2-3 car away(from rolling in 2'nd).
in that case we rolled in 2'nd and stayed together till 200km'h and we ran out of road.

well me and my friend dyno ower car's(two ibiza's) 220hp at the crank, 22 psi boost, DV, supersprint DP and cat back, filter, 4bar FPR, and a faw more things.
i lost my test result but i will scan my friend result(we get the same numbers).

Are the VAG turbos small then?Running 22psi seems a lot for 220bhp.I'd want 400bhp off that.

220 is possible on the 1.8T engine when running 4bar FPR....

yap, VAG uses KKK turbos, k03(150, 156hp) k03sport(180hp) k04(210, 225hp), the k03 are quite small and the k04 is more like the WRX turbo, you can get 260hp on the k04 turbo(in the TT & S3)
a friend of my'n install K04 on is ibiza and he get 240hp.
but it's all kids games, i'm about to order ATP stage3 kit for my car, with GT28R turbo, 300hp - 350hp depend on the setup and boost level.
another friend of my'n install T3/4 and he drive like hell real crazy..

thats good power to weight. no wonder you have been toasting subarus if you wait five minutes someone will come along and mention "twisties". this is the standard response to anyone where there car is faster.

Bill Badgers and Jabba's Demo ibiza's with the same IHI kit as mine on them do 0 - 100 in 10.5 seconds - imagine if they weren't handicapped putting the power down....

hhmm a scooby running 1.6 bar would be pretty untouchable rolling in 2nd or not that would be some horses hes pumping out.

0-60 in 5.8 jesus all subarus are quicker than that especially stis i think your friend is telling porky pies cause at i.6 bar you should a mere blip in the rear view mirror

that's what i don't understand, some guy i know own GT and he was very strong at 1.8 bar!! pulling 3 cars away from me.(but he didn't have enough fuel so he fryed a piston).
maybe he peaked at 1.6 and stable at 1.4 i have no idea.

catalunya199, normal Impreza turbos can do 5.5 to 60 can't they?But thats because of traction, when they are up and going they won't shake a Cupra R, Cup, CTR, chipped Ibiza etc

If its running 1.6 bar it would destroy and I mean destroy a 220bhp ibiza. My RA runs only 1.2bar and good enough for a ton in 12 seconds, figures a 200bhp FWD can only dream off .

Remaped 1.8t's run 1 - 1.25 bar there might be a few funning slightly higher - i doubt they run 1.6 bar

for comparison my IHI converted car produced 320bhp at just under 1 bar

MTM S3's peak at 1.7 bar and run reliably but the S3/TT has stronger internals than the K03 1.8T - so can't really comment on that.

I know its not in the Ibiza Cupra but the 1.8T when in the LCR can sustain around 1.55bar when chipped.
