i considered one instead of the evo, and one glance at an exige internet forum (sorry can remember the address) was enough to put me off using one as an every day car.
People were telling horror stories about the clutch in traffic and reliablity issues with the 190bhp variant.
Amazing track day weapon or weekend toy, but that is where it stops I think...brave man to try it as an everyday car IMHO.

Guy I worked with had one, used to watch it being towed from the car park on a number of occasions
He did hack the roof off it with a saw, and most of the interior though (to save weight - so not surprised it was nackered.

If you can get past all the usual "they're cr@p, I blew one away in the twisties" comments you may find some useful info.

I wouldn't be put off by reliability stories.
Haven't had a single problem with an Elise or Exige in 5 years other than a wheel sensor failure which meant the Exige was limited to 5500rpm when hot (on track), not a big deal.
Hammered the Exige around about 7 or so track days (mostly open pit lane) with no other problems at all.
It's a bit noisy but it would be perfectly possible to use every day! And the driving experience is a million times better than a Scoob's
