And i couldn't care less about the EVO review
Been out and about in it all day, just trying to get it run in asap First impressions are of a stupid level of grip and an extra sharpness that is a couple of notches above my M5, especially on turn in. The first roundabout you do sells you on it! Havent really driven it in anger properly yet as i only got it this morning, the real fun is yet to come! Getting used to smg too now.
Must say sorry to the Evo7 GTA that wanted to play aswell but as i'd only just had it for an hour i didnt want to risk it! Perhaps next time.... Did have a quick sprint with a CTR though using 3/4s throttle and not going above 5k a managed to keep her behind.
Oh well off for more fun now

Yes. But the Limiter is still in place as i unfortunately dont have a race lisence soon sort that out with a trip to a suitable tuner
Am already planning a trip to the ring, just have to run it by her indoors....
I am planning to order a set of BBS CH alloys but not sure what tyres to spec on them for now. Theres no rush as i only plan to use it in the best weather where i can help it ie its my weekend car, may even start tracking again!

Is it that much better than the standard car ?, to be honest I thought BMW were taking the ****, sixty grand for a 3 series, **** it would have to be good.
You are talking about cars I assume, you havent just bought a new leather 3 piece suite ?

Congrats M3 Evo!!! Mine is very nearly run in now so almost time to let loose :-)
You're right about the handling too ... It's leaps and bounds ahead of the "normal" M3, and the grip offered by the Cups is monstrous. I do tend to find my teeth chattering with the bumps though!
You will get a lot more noise with the Sport button activated, because the induction feed opens up at a certain throttle opening, which is easier to achieve with the Sport mapping (at least whilst running in).
Enjoy!

Thanks for the coments guys.
Put another 100miles on the clock tonight. Took my favourite roundabout which tightens on the exit, halfway round i was carrying so much more speed over usual in my M5 i ended up backing off a little as i bottled it! All the car did was just laugh at me!
I love discovering new things about the car all the time but my favourite thing at the moment has, like Elliot says, to be that induction howl! (hmm i wonder how it would sound with a nice GruppM exhaust!!!!) Special mention has to go to those vice like seats aswell!
This car was a 50/50 as to whether to keep or sell on for a profit but my minds already set on keeping it, to hell with an esprit!
I'm sure i can offer a more subjective comparison to the M5 for you once i come down from my CSL high!
Cheers,
Craig Fletcher
ps only my S2000 to arrive now and i'll have finished my collection, honest!!!

Not doing too bad actually, just as soon as i accuire new territories i'll be able to....
Erm sorry got sidetracked there!
Did have a moment in it last night though after a monsoon. The cup tyres are ok with the conditions as long as you give then respect, they key very well into the surface in the water depth is constant, i just hit a puddle of standing water and aquaplaned for a short time, not good. With it being a weekend car i will only drive it in good weather but i deliberatly took it out in these conditions so as to get used to it if i ever get caught out in a downpour again i am used to it. Will be on the dog and bone later though to my local outfit looking for a second set of "winter" tyres!
As for the colour, i was originally going to go for the sapphire black but had heard comments that the it didnt match very well with the carbon fibre, and as i had to factor in the possibilty of selling on, i went with the more popular sliver grey, but catrn say i'm dissapointed!
