Its my girlfriends birthday next month and am thinking of buying a 206CC.

Does anyone have any pointers on what i should be looking out for, have they any common problems. I know about HPI check, service history etc.

Is there a peugeot bbs where i can ask questions.
And before anyone says, I wont be driving it as it is without a doubt a hairdressers car, which is fine as she is one

Quick responses appreciated as i am going to look at one tomorrow.

make sure you check the roof a few times as my sister had hers 3 hours before a micro switch went down(this was from new). aslo she has had several problems with the check engine light coing on! dealer keeps putting it down to the immobiliser in the key and have so far replaced 2 keys under warranty! other than that its fine!

ok will do. cheers. She wants a TT but there is no way i am driving round in one of them, especially as i went to the Audi dealership yesterday and he basically told me that they were to expensive for me to insure and very expensive to but/own.

You should have seen the look on his face when i drove of nice and steady in my sti HA, Audi loss Peugeot gain and also my bank balance will look a little bit healthier

My wife got a 206 CC 2ltr a couple of years ago when they first came out. It was that or a Puma and she wanted the drop top

In the two years and 17k miles it's done we've not had any problems at all. Roof's been fine and the cars ran sweet.

Driving wise it's not too bad - pretty grippy on corners and the 2.0 gti engine is nippy enough.

Back seats are a waste of space - but useful for the dog or storage.

We've done some long distance driving in it as well and it's pretty good on motorways.

My wife loves the car - which says it all really.

Richard.
