sold the beloved scoob, now looking for a cheap run about.
MX3 or MR2 (non turbo)? they are both hovering at abt 1.5k-2k mark
anyone with experiences and what to look out for?
thanks in advance.

Had a MX3 V6 for a couple of years and it never missed a beat. Sold it to my old housemate who has had it for the same length of time, again, not much gone wrong at all.
Would imagine the would be £££££ if they did go wrong though.
Nice car with a nice engine.
I do like the MR2 also (but have never driven one)

I have never driven an MX3... better off going to take a test drive in both. The MR2 Na will be about 155bhp, and 0-60 will go in 7.5 seconds... handling is superb, and the cars do not rust, and are damned reliable. I'd take one over the MX3, purely cos the mx3 looks a bit lardy, and a bit like a normal car tarted up, but each to their own. i'm sure an mx3 owner will say the opposite.

I take it we are talking Mk2 MR2 not MK1 here, had a Mk1 and they do rust like a b@stard.
Driven the Mk2, good GT car, good, not really great handling, good, well built, reliable.
Better shape than the MX3 IMHO
