Fiat twincam on twin 45s or something, cool BBS alloys and a black paint job with silver detailing like the old lotus sunbeams (which I don't remember )
A mate of mine used to put Fiat Supermirafiori (sp?) 2.0 twincam engines into Ladas. Did the works, suspension, brakes, roll cage. They were, well, different. Used to leave Audi Quattros for dead on dry roads. Each time he Wrote one off, he simply took out the engine, bought another Lada and did it all again. Cheap performance motoring.
1000 hours at £100 ph for the top lotus guys. Could be feasibly right if you were a customer on a one off project. HOWEVER, I bet TG didn't pay them that much, if anything at all! It's also a good bit of PR for Lotus. Have to wonder if it took 1000 hourse either. Regardless Lotus's internal costs are NOT £100 per hour, just what they may charge a customer.
