Anyone driven an RS4 ???

Its chalk vs cheeze really but in a word faster, lots faster! (chipped RS4 vs legacy single turb standard uk car) lovely noise, but prefered the handling of the legacy and the RS4 is a heavy old thing so not as nimble as a scoob and I find not so easy to properly throw about and a bloody awfull 1st to 2nd gear change, but did I mention it was faster

Had an STi7 PPP and now have an MTM Stage III RS4 and the difference is like night and day. But then it does have +158bhp so it should be. Needs the sports suspension and short shift as well though as the standard suspension and gear shift is pretty naff. Biggest difference though is in the build quality and interior which is what you pay for. Here's a pic of my Avus RS4:

Had a P1 and now on my second RS4 (had a episode with a modded TT inbetween). My current RS4 has 440BHP and find that it is a much better car in every repect unless it is driven at 10/10th's when the P1 might be quicker through a few bends, but would then get stomped on inbetween. Across country and every day fast driving I don't think the RS4 can be beaten.

I was toying with the idea of buying a RS4 before I brought my M5, I drove a couple and didn't like the feel of them!
I always look at mag. reviews on cars that I might buy and every car mag. was dissappointed with the RS4 and dare I say it the RS6!
A quote from Autocar..'..but the RS6 proves that a certain degree of dynamic finesse is also required to cut it at this level and Audi still doesn't quite know what this is'.
Guess which car won the group test.......M5 of course!!

Had an MTM RS4 for 18 months then changed it for a scooby
Fantastic engine, awesome speed especailly over 120, used to cruise to work at over 160 every day, raced some big bikes and was easily able to stay with them, top speed is 188mph with the limiter removed, 169 with it on (as the tyres are rated at 169)
best interiors of any german cars IMO, stunning outside
great to drive 7/10 terrible flat out, like all modern audi's its inert with no feedback, suspension mods help abit, understeers like a pig as well
and mine had so many faults audi avantually took it back
Make sure if you get one its got the non bending wheels (waranty change) as the stock ones where 4 times softer than normal 18" rims, if stock was available i would have bent over 20 rims in 18 months
it all comes down to what you want from a car, my scoobys 20mph+ faster easily on the corners but would be wasted in a straight line. My RS4 never made my smile, i allways get out of my scooby with a big grin.
and for some odd reason the scoobys got alot more rear leg room
If i could make the RS4 as reliable as my scooby and drive like my scooby it would be my perfect car.

Not an RS4 I know but I've seen a few LHD RS2 Avants going for around 10-11K recently- a very cheap way to get into an RS Audi and find out for yourself what they are like.
