New YRV will have MP muppets reaching for the Kleenex over these stats:
0 - 60 mph: 8.1 secs
Engine: 127bhp (extra 200 with sticker )
Check out the Turbo air intake... LOL

problem is...the YRV Turbo is only available in automatic transmission with a "sport Shift" on the steering wheel.
I test drove it and was quite fun...especially as you'll never see one on the road and GTI owners will wonder why they got beaten by a 1.3 Hyundai/Suzuki style minivan...

I'm going to fully rebuild mine this summer btw.
Has anyone actually driven the YRV Turbo? I read a review and the journalist said that the grip levels were much higher than the Charade GTti. I am not too keen on the looks either tbh. They should have used this engine on the Sirion.

No forum on www.gttioc.co.uk yet but might be soon. If you aredoing a rebuild you should join the club as the mag covers much of the stuff you'll come to do and you get a good discount on parts and members get first refusal on some good deals.
My GTti is finally back on the road and is great fun !
Just need a new stering rack.

All parts are supplied from www.palsports.co.jp
Main parts are
De cat
Full open exhaust
Lowered
New ECU running 18psi
210cc injectors
HKS green filter
HKS SSQV Bit too noisy
The above puts out about 110 bhp but with the addition of the larger IHI RH3 turbo the output should be around 120-130 !!!
If fitting the bigger turbo you need an uprated cluth and a larger IC. Palsports also do a 713cc upgrade that will push power to 150-160. I have discovered the engine is safe to 140 before bits start failing and the transmission can handle upto 220.
I have spoken with a chap in Australia that is running 28psi although there is very little left standard.
Car offroad at the moment having bits fitted but I'm near croydon so not far from Kingston if you want to meet at some stage.
Shout if you want any more info as I have spent months researching the car and what I can do !!!
