Golf Mods (MK2)
#1
Just wondering if anybody has done this one before ?
Have had to take the wings of my MK2, they looked perfect but the plastic wheelarch trims started parting company due to rust, loads of it (so much for German quality....), anyway whipped them off yesterday afternoon and have a lovely Corsa Auto to cruise the streets in so can lavish some time on the Golf. I noticed a white panel in the inner wing next to the airbox and it pops out easily, I then realised why I have seen Golfs with a wing vent from a transporter grafted in, I have a mig welder so fitting shouldnt be a problem (plus I will practice on the old wing) so I would like to know
A/ Does it look sad (I think it doesent but I am no guarantee of taste), the car is black by the way.
b/ Does it provide any benefit (currently have standard airbox with K an N but will get a cone filter if I do this)
c/ Will it cause any problems ?
I know I should post this on Club Gti but I tend to get a better response on here and anyway I have forgotten my logon and cant be arsed re-registering.
Cheers
