Question

Actually I don't know if you can or not, but here goes:

Purchased at the weekend a Jetex response induction kit for my phase 1 Saxo VTS (MY99). Problem is that the Kit stipulates that it is for both a VTR and VTS!!

I acknowledge that the set up between the two cars is very different, and as a fellow (ex) VTS owner I was hoping that you could shed some light on something.

I got the full induction kit to fit, however the old air box had a bizarre oil recirculation system on the side (spring loaded) so that under acceletration a diaphram would be sucked in preventing oil flow and would slacken/ release when the car is not on throttle (it sounds confusing I know but bear with me).

So now that the new pipes are in place this circulation type device has been bypassed by a single pipe, and my concern was that if it was there before it sould be needed!

I know that the likes of Pipercross and K&N do mini oil filters, and wondered if I needed on of these to move forward?

Any ideas or advice please anyone?

Cool

I'm a 'saxo boy' but I sure as hell ain't no saxo buffty

The good news is that, yes I did have a VTS for 16 months. The bad news is that I never modified it or researched modifications to them in the way I did the scooby so as above I don't have a clue. There are numerous regulars on (ok, I'll make it clicky) www.saxosportsclub.co.uk that will know. Seek out and PM 'Barry GTI', 'Matt', 'trickyd' or 'hardcore sax' as they seem to be the most clued up - mainly cause they all have supercharged or turbo's saxo's

i used to have an induction system on my vtr, probably similar in that the kit came with a mini filter which fitted onto the crank breather if i remember right, the mini filter gets oily quite quick and needs regular cleaning, sounded great though.
