Thumbs up

Right - I'm going off the 4*4 idea. What are peoples opinions of the Audi S8 (current shape rather than new)

Seem like a bargain to me.

Only thing that worries me is the size.

Any experiences ?

I want comfort, safety and space to fit my baby daughter and all her stuff.

Oh and a bit of power

I also need to slow down a bit (thats what having a child does to you )

What do ya reckon ?

cheers

Paul

Nice, but try an S6 too. I drove an A6 4.2 and really liked it - I'd imagine the S6 is similar but better. BTW, you're referring to the 'old shape' not the current one, my neighbour's already got a new 4.2 the lucky bleeder. The building trade is obviously booming

Audi S4 Avant, Wife had baby boy in Jan of this year, so 993 targa had to go.

S4 Avant is awesome plenty of tuning opp, mine is running 345bhp

loads of room for travel cots and prams all the rest of the stuff that comes with little people, only downside is slight lack of leg room for adults in the back, but saying that had 4 adults and baby set in the car at the weekend, so fine for short journeys

I think the Audi A8 is a great car....4.2 Quattro would be quick enough for me but the S8 if money was no object would be at the top of my barge list

Thing about the A8 is that it's got class

I'm only looking at spending 30k max really. I'm quite big as well so I fancy a large vehicle. RS4's and 6's look quite expensive in comparison (used)
I'm looking at an x plater with 44k for £26.5k

Dont know if this will work but here goes anyway!!

Autotrader National Search:
http://atsearch.autotrader.co.uk/WWW/cars_search.asp?modelexact=1&make=AUDI&min_pr=2500 0&postcode=dd6+8nr&source=0&model=S8&max_pr=30000& sort=3&variant=&mileage=&miles=1500&photo=1&keywor ds=&agerange=&max_records=200&search.x=54&search.y =10

Audi Used Car Locator:
http://www.audi.co.uk/usedcars/index.jsp#

If you paste them into your address bar then it should work?!

If it doesnt then dont blame me!!

Cheers,
Grant

Absolutely right mate, looks absolutely stunning...

If you are ever in the Dundee area, I want you to drop by my house and show me it, they are one of the cars I would go for should my numbers ever come up...

Grant

Ha Ha...

Nah, we dont mind you guys, I think its just a bit of banter to be honest. However, I lived in Bedford, England for 11 years so woudnt have got very far if I had refused to talk to the english people!!

Dundee has got its good and bad points, there are places in Dundee that you NEVER want to go but there are some really nice places as well. Its just like any big City really. The bonus with Dundee is that it is positioned well for travelling to the other large Cities in Scotland - Edinburgh, Glasgow and Aberdeen...

Cheers,
Grant

Thats true to a certain extent, however, if you buy an S8 then you will want to keep it for a fair amount of time which should make the depreciation a lot easier to take...

It was £55k - £56k new - 2 - 3 years ago. I think it's already lost most of it's money

I personally think its a bargain looking at what you get.

I'm off to listers tomorrow

cheers for the info chaps
