Dunno if it's the same one but they been advertising one for months... Perhaps it's not arrived with em yet..
By the way, I'm new here. Be gentle with me..

Woz
I'm not really convinced all Scoobies will kill it in all situations. The R32 gets to 100 in 15.6 secs. Thats at least a match for a classic Scooby and quicker than the MY01 and MY02.
As for handling, they are pretty damn good. I actually prefer the feel of the R32 to the new Shape. It certainly has a lot more low down pull than a scooby.
My R32 is booked in for the mod

nice one Chins.
my last comment was an extremely sarcastic tone, to try put of the poster thinking of 'but my scooby will kill it...blah blah'
from what I've read the R32 is looking like a mean opponent, and from your history of ownership its gotta have something to convert you. With this modding option, looks like there is plenty of life to be released from standard lump.
gotta get me a test drive...

Well, I've had both. I often do roundabouts in 6th, Pull off in 2nd. Off the lights it goes 2nd,4th, 6th
I think in the real world its quicker than the scoob but not quite no nimble.
Of course, whilst hacking through the lanes you also sit in 22 degrees of comfort with a stereo you can hear and a lovely exhaust sound which is possibly nicer then the Scooby.
Its a quality car and at 22k represents very good value IMHO

Wait till the DSG gearbox is standard.... its a work of art, changes faster than Formula 1 cars !!
Is the Beetle R32 out here, caught a look at one at the Ring, it went round Showboat very well ! Had to look twice as its on steroids...

lordlucan - there are certainly a few knocking around in this country, although they are known as the Beetle RSI. Left hand drive only though - and original aking price of £50k over here I think they changing hands for at least £25K at the moment, but I may be completely wrong on that...
A few piccies...
