I'm looking to change my car about September/December time, currently driving a 206 Gti, what suggestions do you guys have for my next car. Don't know if I want a bigger car, but I know I want more performance.

Thanks

Probably a hatchback (3dr) or maybe a smallish saloon.

If you enjoy your 206GTi then you might want to have a wee look at the new 206GTi 180bhp model. Not sure what you will pay for one though, prob a couple grand over your budget!!

Maybe a GT TDi Golf 130/150, maybe spend a few quid on getting it re-boosted too...

Dare I say it.............. A Scooby?!?!

Grant

Have been watching the gti 180 closely but the autocar review wasn't glowing, will see what EVO have to say. Scooby would be ace but maybe running costs maybe on the high side.

Saying that it would be sitting outside my house most weekdays as I take the train to work!

My other ideas are the Clio 172 sport or Leon Cupra maybe cupra R.

I'd say go for Leon Cupra R as a good compromise of a hot hatch and saloon.

Looked at the Civic but inside its a bit plasticky and looks like a box, as for the Leon maybe, heard that they aren't put together very well, my mate works in the service dept of my local dealer.

Want something reliable as my 206 has let me down a couple of times which I put down to it being an early nodel car.

Not a big fan of Civic Type-R's... I understand that they go well, they are even put together well, and they are reliable enough and good value but just dont like the way that they look...

Leon Cupra-R is a huge amount of car for the money, 210bhp|Brembos|18's|Fully loaded interior all for under 16k...

Cheers,
Grant

P.S - Can you send PM's on Scoobynet??

Thumbs up

Clio 172 or Cup

I've had two 206GTi's and an Impreza and am having more fun in the Cup than all of them
