328 soft top......nice?

ok- i was after some summer fun in an MX5/MR2/S2000 styleeee...but i dont fit in these poxy little- made for tiddlers- cars!
so i can either go for a daily driver modeo/passat and get a westy (no roof = no head room probs) or get a 328.
328 seems to be the only one of the "cars that aren't roadsters but have no roofs" types that is well liked.
anyone had one- quick, nice, errrr....people let you out at junctions?
T
ps- lots are autos- is the auto much slower?

Used to have one, autos are slower but very smooth, very nice cars, you can hustle them along but it is no M3. MAKE SURE IT HAS TRACTION CONTROL!!!!!! Mine didn't as it was an option on 328's back then (P reg) and many scary moments were had, difficult resale without, and make very sure it has air con, ditto resale probs only worse if it hasn't. Have you considered an M or N plate M3 cab, higher miles ok as it can do astronomical miles if maintained properly. Early e36 M3 cab is where my money would go over a 328 cab.

Tiggs,
Just sold my MY02 Sti7 P/Drive after much thought, and decided I needed something a bit different.
Picked up an MY02 Audi A4 3.0 Sport Cabriolet two weeks ago, and absolutely love it. No, it is not as quick as the scooby and No it does not sound like WW3 has started each morning in the garage, but overall it is a top car.
The quality is something Subaru can only dream of, and the engine is as smooth as a babys ****.
Let me know what you decide.
