Question

Looks like I might have to sell my beloved Scoob to free up some capital and replace it with a more economical 2-seater. Anyone got any suggestions? Will be looking to spend 5k-6k and was thinking of somethin like an MR2

If interested in a 2 seater 300ZX(1990-2000 Z32 shape) then your options are:

Non Turbo 3.0 V6 222bhp at 6400Rpm - 198lb/ft at 4800Rpm(manu figs), versions include targa top, hardtop(rare) or convertible(very rare).

Twin Turbo 3.0 V6 280bhp at 6400Rpm - 275lb/ft at 3600Rpm(manu figs), available as targa top or hardtop.

Note that all models will be imports as the UK model was only available as a 2+2 Twin Turbo. But many imports over 10 years old qualify for classic car insurance(I pay £673, 28yrs old in SE london, on the road, 6000 miles per year - no need for no claims).

Convertible.

Non Turbo 2 seater (note fuel cap in front of rear wheels on the 2 seater and no rear spoiler).

Twin Turbo 2 seater (note rear spoiler)

I belive you can get around 20-24 Mpg on an easy run from the Twin Turbo and 17 Mpg if your flying! Not too sure on the Non Turbo consumption but you can find the info at the UK forums http://www.300zx.co.uk/

Hope this Helps,
Trev
