Thumbs up

Well I finally did it.
I finally bought myself a little run around to go with my WRX STI4.
Honda Civic Type-R in black (with air-con), which I will pickup on Saturday. I thought 5 days for delivery was pretty good ;-)

Anyone care to comment on the CTR?

They sound incredible. Had one fly past me a few days ago and when they change year you get a massive 'blip'.

Had my silver one for almost a year, 8500 miles. Yes traction in bad weather can be trouble, but not to worry. I have about 2,000 miles left in the front tyres, i am told for Mega grip go to Toyo's.

No problems, a few minnor grips like the plastic does chip a bit on the front, but at 3 years or so i will get it blown over. Everyone i know to own one has had NO trouble with the car. Totally 100% bullet proof!

Give your self time to lean to rev and have a picture in your mind of revs=Gears and your be amazed at what you can do. The rear end is a bit lose to begin with but will have bedded in by 2,000 miles.

Engine needs 5-6000 miles before you start to get real V-Tec. Needs 12000 miles till totally run in.

Steering likes light, but forget the car mag bulshi*t duing winter it gave plenty of feed back.

Enjoy
Mega.

Cool

I bought one of these over the Scoob cos of better fuel consumption
and less expensive service intervals. Still love the sound of the Scoobies flat four but the Civic is well rapid.......
A standard bug eye WRX will be fairly matched with the CTR !

Get a Magnex back box fitted and you'll be addicted to the Vtec zone Good choise of colour ,black is the fastest !

Sorry guys but silver wipes the floor on black or silver - the only near competitor to silver is green

Agree, Silver is far faster than red Especially Satin Silver that helps improve aerodynamics
