help needed.... TTR v MCOUPE ... residuals
#1
hi guys
looking for some views and advice
one of the main things i look at when purchasing cars is what there gonna be worth in 1 / 2 years time? basically how much are they gonna lose!
that leads me onto what might i want thats still fairly different from the cars i see around me all the time
looks wise (IMO) a s-line TT roadster with the 18's really does look the piece (yea i know there common (flame suit on) but theres something about them thats just growing on me) but then my thoughts lead me to say if i wanna be different how about an M Coupe (always gets a second look from me)
now i wont be buying new, (for reasons of post!) so just wanted some views on what would lose more value over say 2 years, a £20k M Coupe (3 year old nice ones can be found at this) or a £20k TTR (bit difficult to find a s-line at this price i know)
opinions happily appreciated
cheers max

Having owned a TT225C and driven an M-Coupe here's my comments;
1)Both very well made.
2)M-Coupe a much quicker car, more cramped interior, more
fun/exciting to drive, more costly to run, styling not to
everyones taste. This is a much rarer car than the TT in the UK
so you will have a more limited market come resale time.
2)TTR is a convertable, unique interior.
Try looking at how residuals have dropped so far from new to
give you an idea of how they will do over the next few years.
