Question

Im just thinking that there are lots of threads about different cars being bought as second cars and i wanted to get some input back about those owners of said second car(s) and problems/running costs/second car insurance etc and basically any general feedback on what to look for when buying either a newish or older car.
Myself i run 2 cars, the fun car (Scoob) and the work horse car (Mondeo), so if there is enough interest/feedback ill start a proper thread about this

I'd be interested as I've had more than one car for a few years know and some of them have proved to be not the greatest choices!!

A moderator just for one thread? Only in the Muppet forum, surely

I have a scooby for commuting and a Westfield for weekends - does that count?

Andy,
Yup that would count along with any experiences you have had whilst owning the car (faults/fun factor etc).

I've got a Clio Williams for every day use and a 1.9D Citreon ZX(130k on the clock) for the Weekends - Supposed to be the other way around but the ZX is ill at the moment Had a 205 Diesel before the ZX and it had many illnesses aswell.

Are you guys going to start a thread like this? Sounds a cracking idea.....

Maybe head it as follows:

"Thread in which to comment/advise on purchasing and running a second car"

Yep, nice one, I've got an old '89 cavalier SRi that does the school run, tesco's run, dump run, builder's merchants run and any other s****y jobs. It's worth nothing, costs next to nothing to run and has been dead reliable for the last 5 years. Parts are cheap and so is insurance (relatively). Be lost without it really, wouldn't want to do all those jobs in my scoob
