As obvious go 2nd hand:-
Scooby, MR2, Audi 1.8T A3 or A4, 200sx, Whatever BMW you fancy,..as long as you don't mind age you can have more or less what you fancy.
If you mind age it becomes more difficult, Scooby, MR2, Audi 1.8T A3 / A4, 200sx, Most BMWs,...
Isn't actually anything brand new i would want that cost less that 12K in the boring league of new motors.
Maybe Saxo VST (0-60 7.8)£11995, punto 1.8 16v HGT (0-60 8.6) £12499, MG ZR 120 (0-60 8.6) £11665, Peugeot 106 GTI (0-60 8.7) £11795, Proton Satria 1.8 GTI (0-60 7.8) £12999, Vauxhall corsa 1.8 sri (0-60 8.0) £12995
I'd feel like i'd be wasting my money on any of these actually, get the best Turbo 2000 you can!

Was looking at an Accord TypeR, Civic TypeR,WRX; heard that you could find an early 2000 WRX 40k miles for about 12 grand?? Nissan 200, no thanks looked at a Fiat 20V Turbo, dodgy fiat reliability, Early M3 3.2 Evo. But its a beamer? To common. Even considered a Merc C36 AMG, £12k for a 1997!!
