Has anyone driven one of these? I am thinking of getting one as I can get a sizable discount on fiats.
Any input appreciated.

they are slow..had one as a company car for 3000 miles before giving it back and swapping for a Mondeo - the mondeo was faster and handled better!

I thought about getting one as a company car but saw the figures and yes they looked slow so I got a puma instead (and that isn't much faster)

Talking

My little brother had one (swaped it fairly quickly for a clio williams). His friend has a bog standard 94 starlet, 1.3L petrol and the HGT could barely keep up with it. Desperate piece of kit.

Question

It has got a 1.8 Litre 130bhp engine though & only weighs just over 1000kg so surely it should be pretty fast? 0-60 time is stated as 8 secs.

Nah, stuff like 206 GTi's, Puma's would comprehensively be superior, handling/performance wise.

the one I had was v.slow like I say a 2.0 mondeo was noticeably faster!!!! that says it all- theorically they are quick- in practice they are very slow. I reckon you could do a Starlet in one though. Also the handling was crap and build quality worse than a Vauxhall
