What type of Escort is it? If somebody else has downloaded this please leave a post.. My connection is too slow for me to waste time getting it if its anything other than a Mk1 or Mk2 - unless it is particularly impressive.

Cheers...

Not sure about the styling though (or lack of ) Looks very quick for a bike engined car. I though bike engines didn't really have enough torque for cars.

It's a common misconception that bike engines don't have enough torque for cars. An 1100 Kawasaki engine will certainly produce more torque (and power ) than an 1100 Ford engine as fitted to a Mk2 Popular Plus. Or a 1 litre Metro engine...

I saw a bike engined bedford rascal a couple of years ago with a yamaha R1 engine in it and it really struggled off the line and rascals don't weigh alot.

yes but the rear axle ratio would be different between an R1 and a rascal. I have it doing a 0-60 run on home video at home and first gear was very long. I don't think the aero dynamics on a rascal would allow it to do 175 mph but it would be funny if it did

p.s. my 98 fireblade (918cc version) made 70.1 lb-ft @ 7780 RPM on holeshot racings dyno and R1's would make more. which is probably a bit more than a standard bedford rascal.

suspect the gearing may well be the factor here. a R1 1st gear will probably top 60 in first(not sure not ridden one) and a standard rascal gearbox probably does about 15 in 1st.
