Any one know where I can get specs for the Civics which were used for the rig-jackings in the film?

Also, good complete set of pics too?

Really considering doing up a 1.6Vti!!!

Cheers

Just buy a load of flame stickers and a bright green paint job. I guess alot of the stuff was probably done by CGI on a computer and the film speeded up to give the impression of more speed. Just get yourself a grapping hook and you should be sorted .

Just a quick search on google found these. I never brought anything off these companies and dont forget covering your car in stickers affects your insurance. :

raks-judging by the engine note in the film, the civics in fast+furious were using either the (b16a) 1.6 twin cam vtec or the (b18c)1.8 twin cam vtec.
Neither of these engines were fitted to the uk 93> civic civic, just the 1.5cc (lsi engine) although several people has done the conversion.
Saw one a month ago with the b16a with throttle bodies.

Guys, I'm only interested in the Civics. Not the graphics. Remember, the Civic's used for the jackings were completely black!
No graphics!

Kenny;
Do you think that the engine used here would produce the same kind of power??

Could someone point me to the forum that I could use to search more on the Civic?

Cheers

They were running some sort of turbo, possibly on a b16.

I bet they were pretty much standard. For example, gone in 60 seconds the shelby gt500 when it was been chased by teh helicopter and nick cage hit the "go faster" button they simply speeded up the film, show you how they did it on the DVD version .

They may have been tweaked but probably for tyres and suspension and a loud exhaust .

Ask your questions at http://forum.hondarevolutions.com

The EK4 (VTI) uses the B16a engine (160BHP)

Induction kit and Exhaust on this car will make the required noise.

Tunable to 200BHP N/A

Better off searching for an EK9 (B16B), 183BHP Standard, mines around the 200BHP mark, basically the same engine as the B18C (ITR (DC2) engine).

Ah just reread your post, I guess you want the 4 door, in which case there is not a Type R available, but still available with the B16a engine.
