I did look at them a while back, but was warned against them as they allegedly take lack of driver envolvement to a whole new level, and when things go wrong they do it in an expensive way
Unfortunate as I think they are really nice looking cars.

owned a non turbo L reg in silver, looked the nutz, sounded the nutz, as much visual attention as a escort cossie, parts are expensive but no more than say owning any other equivilant sports car etc, end of day no matter what you look at you will here horror stories.

personally id go for a twin turbo.

Having driven my mates, it is a pretty uninvolving drive.

Go try one, but I doubt you will keep it if you buy it in all honesty.

I'm told they were built for the American market, so read into that what you want.

Anyway, quite powerful but totally non fun to drive. However, good looking car and good equipment levels.

The cars with active aerodynamics can get very expensive to fix if you have electrical problems by all accounts.

Cheers

nice looking car, but absolutely no room inside for yorself or passenger (s), loads of buttons to keep you amused though, spoiler's etc, exhaust muffling button, hard/soft suspension button!!.....and really, the one i was in, wasn't much quicker than my old mr2 turbo low down!!

I drove a 3000GT spider ( hard top convertable) while I was over in the states....stunning looking car!

awesome drive....

but maybe it was the top down experience?

but it did feel mighty quick..... and very tough!

POC

My mate had one for a couple of years in red, imported it from Singapore or somewhere like that,

it was damn fast, but very bad on the juice, he loved it until some toerags nicked it, and slashed the dash & seats, and the insurance company wrote it off !!

Nice motor, and pretty cheap these days

What happened to your M3 Paul?

You've changed cars more times than i change clothes!

I've driven a few and i found it wanting to be honest - soggy suspension and brakes and i was expecting more in a straight line. Very comfortable and a great looker though so if its only day to day then could be ideal. IMO more of an XK8 rival than 911......

Er, that went a long time ago, just 14days after buying it infact, I sold it and bought an EVO V Was fantastic with the roof down, noise was amazing, but suspension was too soft and boaty. Great car though, im sure I will have another M3 in the future
