Help me swap my Scoob !
#1
Just can't seem to shift my Scoob at the mo, even with a part-ex plus cash offer on the table.
Anyone know of someone who's looking for a Scooby (see the For Sale forum) who'd like to swap their jalopy plus a wad of cash for it ?
Would consider most cars up to a value of £8k, as long as it's practical of sorts (nipper on the way!)
Cheers

SiPie,
Hehehe, still more butch than yours, despite the "girlie" colour (come on P1 owners, let's duff him up )
Benview,
I thought you were asking for around £10k mate ??
I'm not looking to spend over £8k with the precarious job front at the moment.

Scooby Regular
Theo
Got the MAF sorted, well cleaned anyway and now running sweet
Took it into Nobles last Saturday thinking a price re a trade in may be the only way to go and when normally salesmen are making you a really hot cup of coffee to keep you there.... this guy wasn't even entertaining the trade in
They were too busy moaning about Subaru's decision to drop £3k off the new prices. He was talking about the total value that had just been wiped off their stock list and saying that even they would have trouble shifting a car with higher mileage as they couldn't offer a warranty blah, blah....
So in short Theo, looks like I'm stuck with it forever and ever mate

Me too mate, to paraphrase a quote from Trainspotting
"It's a sh*te state of affairs to be in Tommy"
Bl**dy Subaru UK....grumble....
I've had some really cheeky trade-in offers....£10k from VW (bunch of idiots), but no-one is even willing to underwrite the car until after the New Year. I suppose I can wait until after Christmas and try again, but I really don't want to give it away to someone who just doesn't understand the car and the enthusiasm.
Cougar,
Not a problem mate.
If you've got internet, perhaps you could post some details here mate and upload a pic on Turbosport ?

Howsabout a nice Mercedes 190e 2.3-16v Cosworth?
Quiet, spacious, refined, bulletproof.
It will accomodate small child (I know, I've got an 18mth old Daughter), pram, shopping, the whole shebang with absolutely no worries.

I think I'll pass Merc.
Like I said, too old for me and I'm not wanting to fork out for servicing and repairs on a car right now seeing as Child #1 is on it's way.

Nah - don't wanna sell it anyways... Spent too much on it!!! Besides, I bought it solely for carting my little girl around in.
Baby number 1 eh?
Welcome to the best club in the world mate - it'll all pale into insignificance when the moment arrives.
No doubt you'll get loads of advice from everyone - so I won't bore you.
Just make sure you do the following:
BE THERE AT THE BIRTH, BOTH SHE AND THE OFFSPRING NEED YOU. AND FFS CUT THE UMBILICAL CORD - I couldn't as I was shaking so much, and I sort of regret not giving the little'un her first breath.
