Post ST200

When a dealer offers you a test drive in one of their new ST200 mondeos you can't say no can you?
Well today I went for it, and boy was I disapointed! For a V6 motor producing 200bhp it was gutless. The expected mountain of torque at the bottom end was missing, and there wasn't that much up the rev range.
The handling was pretty good for a suped-up rep mobile but I would have preferred a bit less body roll. Not very exciting from the Ford boys!!

Tell me about it. Before I had the scooby I had a ST24, which was a nice motor, but after test driving a scooby I was a lot less impressed with it's performance. I then test drove a ST200 and it did not feel much faster than my ST24 and it was no where near as 'chuckable' as the scooby. Hence my desicion to switch from the ST to the scooby (plus the looming dog ownership)

Cool

And as a fellow Weimaraner owner, I can assure you... they LOOM.

Just ask our postman...

On the subject of ST200s, I've just been with Dick Grimes on an SIDC course. He said that Essex Police are going to trial some Imprezas, although they've just had delivery of some ST200s. What to do with the Fords? "Bin."

Wink

Mark,

You seem to be driving a few Fords lately, is there something we should know about

Don't worry I won't ruin your reputation by mentioning which other Fords you've been seen in

You might at least have waited until the 22nd to dredge this up and given it the full seven year gap
