Evo 6 low mileage what should I pay
#1
Ok - I'm looking for a run about thats fast
I was thinking of a second hand Evo, as I have a Scoob I dont want another...yet. I am wanting this as my Scoob is off the road and may be off the road again if I decide to uprate it further still...
I'm looking for one about a couple of years old with one owner with less than 30k miles.. I get suspicious of a car under 3 years old with 2 owners.. but thats me..
I dont mind if it has minor mods, what should I be looking to pay?
I dont want red or silver - ideally the black or blue

For a 2 year old one your probably looking at around 18-20k Steve, you may be able to pick up a TME for around 21-22k though
I'll keep an eye out to see whats going as im possably hunting for a second car at the moment (nothing as glamourous though )

Just looked at the Evo for sale site and am still looking
They seem a bit overpriced. Theres a Yellow one that says its mint but quite clearly has had a front ender as theres a large gap between the bonnet and wing!!
Plus people who want 80%+ of there money back on ice installs were they paid top notch money that could have been got for under the selling price.. nice try though!
Tony - Thanks - keep an eye out
On looking at the Alloys I may have to change those as the standard ones do look a bit naff

Now thats more like it
Looking for one a bit newer than this - dont want two old bangers on the driveway - My Scoob is an Aug 99, nearly 3.5 years old now
Evo reasonably priced I guess, I reckon my sti5 standard would be worth about £12-13k

Will look at the Lancer forum
I guess the runaround is really for the girlfriend as were getting rid of the Honda Civic Type R (I'm not a fan of this!)
she wants a faster car that I can also drive without getting too bored.....

Mellow
Yeah I think I need to do a little more research before I part with the money...
If only they had a 60 litre fuel tank - that will be my biggest gripe!!

I sold my evo 6 gsr, 2001/X 8500 miles, one owner, mint standard UK car about 6 weeks ago. Got £19,200 for it after advertising on autotrader - there was little/no interest from scoobynet or MLR. From my experiences of selling, and reading other for-sale threads over a number of weeks, it really is a buyers market for evos, and the cars are just not selling easily. So, hold out for the colour/spec you want and don't pay a penny over 20k, even for a mint low-miler.

Not yet mate - I've only just started looking
Have a few mails to go through when I get home tonight
Like the look of the Black one - but I'm not into phoning people until I at least know something about the vehicle? - i.e. year/price/no of owners, etc

Tony
Thanks for the mail
I'll stick with the autotrader, etc as people on here and the Lancer forum are on a different planet when it comes to what they think their car is worth
£19200 with 8500 - thats my sort of money!
