Maybe I'm getting old, but I'd have this car over a lot of exotica. It's eyeball bleeding fast, looks fantastic (especially in silver or black), and the engine note - wow !
All that and you can cruise around with the top down, pink tank-top on and Erasure blasting out of the stereo. Marvellous !!

I'd rather stick with my RS6... and that's partly why I have one.
I agree that the SL AMG is one hell of a car but putting all that power through the rear wheels is a problem.. and actually the traction control limits the amount of torque until the wheels get upto speed.. unlike quattro.
Also, with 3 kids it's a little impraticle for me.. prefer my estate

Clarkson didnt actually say it was better than the 355, did he !?
Theyre too breeds of the same animal. Doberman and Rottweiler.
Theres bound to be days when, If you had both, you'd prefer one over the other.
He probably just fancied a change and a worthy one at that.
Its not uncommon to get rid of a ferrari after several months or a few years of ownership. Its one of those cars you have to own once.
