I had a Astra Coupe 1.8 Big Exhaust & K&N Induction kit. Had 100 bhp at wheels so about 125-130 at flywheel. Did 120 in it and managed 0-60 in 8 seconds. Top speed of car book figure was 130mph.

You think it's unreasonable for a car with 60 bhp more to be able to do 0-60 in 1.5 - 2 seconds quicker ? The 888 has big tyres, is lower to the ground and is very aerodynamic as well.

My 888 is fitted with K&N Induction kit and I run it on Shell Optimax (99ron). Have done one timed run of 5.2 seconds in the Dry, have done couple of runs in wet at 7 seconds.

Top speed of 888 of 152 mph should be correct, car can be tuned to give 240 bhp and top speed of 160mph at 6,600 rpm. Check out Regal and CCC magazine article for proof.

You have to remember that Performance Vauxhalls have been around for longer than Subaru's. Vauxhalls 2.0 XE and 1.6 XEH are known as the motorsport engine of choice. Tuning companies can get 280 bhp out of 2.0 XE and 240bhp out of 1.6.
