hello, new to this board, so i will just come straight out and admit it..... i own a Volvo
before you start mentioning labradors.. it is a T4 with a few mods putting out about 220bhp
it has served me very well on many trackdays so i thought i would share the pics with you -

i have joined this board 'cos a scooby is very high up on the possible replacements list (and i have heard it is one of the best online performance car communities)

As long as you car isn't the Volvo i spotted in Bradford a few weeks ago. Red saloon with an EVO7 wing and bonnet vent. Pissed myself so much i almost wrote off my car.
Marty (owning up to wanting a T5 not so long ago)

Used to love my company T4 -- 3 turns on the wastegate actuator and a few other bits & bobs, and it used to fly. I loved third gear in it -- plant the throttle at 2500rpm and it used to pull and pull and pull ....
Bit wayward, even with DSA on ...

chris- would that be this hideous creation

he tried to defend his actions once on the performance volvo club forum...... he failed.
Brickboy - i wasn't expecting anyone else on here to have had one of these!! your right a few turns on the wastegate makes hell of a difference, i've aslo got a K&N induction, ss exhaust, cold air ducting, recirculating dump valve, it can out drag a confirmed 280bhp 850R, so i think 220bhp is conservative estimate!.
the best mod i ahve done though is a strutbrace...it completely transforms the car, no more torque steer, much sharper turn in and steering feel and so much more grip accelerating out of corners.. best £70 i ever spent!

RAOTFLMAO!
That is the funniest thing I've seen for ages. Do you reckon the bloke who owns it wears a balaclava when he's out and about?
Awesome - thanks mate.
Cheers

Mike_T4:
sounds nice I always liked the stealth factor of the T4 -- most people didn't know what it was. Guaranteed fun with BMWs on motorways
Could never mod mine too overtly 'cos it had to go back to the lease company, so I did the wastegate, and put a pressure relief valve (not a bleed) in the yellow airline between the solenoid and wastegate actuator. After careful adjustment to avoid "Check Engine" lights, it rocked!!! Providing I always used Super (no Optimax back then) I never had a problem.
I also found that carefully gapping the plugs to the minimum gap (0.7mm I think) every 10K miles or so made a nice difference to pick-up and mid-range.
Wish I could have done the exhaust, but hey

Nice car, took a long look at them last time I changed, but decided I wanted 4wd.
Love the Q car aspect, know where you're coming from on that one, nothing quite like upsetting driver's with fragile ego's!
Ian (skoda)
