Anybody had one?
I am going to have a look at one this weekend. It has had the Cam chain done, new exhaust and clutch.
Anything else I should look for?

i looked at a couple before the beemer mate.
remember one thing, these cars were built for racing about in, so chances are they have had their ***** caned for a good few miles.
look for general condition, as this may indicate how the owner treats it.
2nd hand speed amchines are a gamble at the best of times but these mercs do go on for a few miles....
check for engine knocks, blue smoke, when you boot it, and oil leaks.
hope its a nice one!!!! they are fast becoming rare!!

Mate of mine had one. Yeah sure it was the 2.3litre. It was quite quick but cost him a fortune. Gearboxes were weak and parts were amazingly expensive.
My Legacy Turbo Saloon ate it on the straights and the twisties too. The Merc was built like a tank, very dated interior but obviously built to a high standard.
Nice , if expensive to own, car.
