Yep, used to own one, upgrading to a scoob.
It's an awesome handling car, it's not as quick as it looks.
Make sure he goes for a manual, about a second quicker 0-60 and far more fun to drive!

After exhaust and airfilter there is not much you can do. My manual would hold it's own against a uk spec scoob, I'm not saying it was as quick, but I think the scoob owner was surprised!

The missus has just sold a Manual GPX.
As already mentioned, fantastic fun. Solid handling. You can drive at 10/10ths and be safe etc.

Looks the business , Mivec sounds great on full chat.

Just not as quick as it looks but plenty of fun

Definately go for the Manual as the Tip is slower and potentially more expensive to repair etc etc

IMHO the ralliart ones are the tattiest of the lot.
I do remember an Owners club member buying a £23k from ralliart. WHen it was delivered he found an invoice from the company that imported the car for ralliart with a final bill price of 14k

If he does decide to go for a manual I know of an awesome P plate facelift going for around the 9k mark. If he wants contact details for the owner then drop me a mail

Oh, if he can find a Manual 2.0 GR I'd recommend he went for that!
There is sod all in the way of performance difference, the GR is cheaper to insure and cheaper to maintain.

Good sites of reference

Hope this helps

Edited cos I forgot to say manual!
