Question

is this a 93 or 94 model?
the standard system i had on my 93k was cr@p, key in glove box immobiliser and factory fitted alarm, the later ones were fitted with a pharana alarm system but not sure which one.

My 94 L plate Renault 19 16v had a factory fitted alarm with ultrasonics and connected to the central locking, with an IR (point and shoot type) remote keypad, which meets some of the criteria for thatcham cat 1.

To complete the alarm/immobiliser spec to cat 1 I had to fit an engine immobiliser (the factory fit stuff included an immobiliser, but it was pants, stopped the car starting but didn't stop the engine turning, easy to get around apparently), cost was around 130 quid fitted about four years ago.

Don't know the make etc., but I hope this is of some use.

Thumbs up

My Phase II K reg had the Renault alarm, not thatcham approved if I remember so I fitted a cobra £100 immobiliser.

Loved that car......... until the scoob arrived

I live quite close to Camberley and hope it was not your 19 16V I saw burnt out. I was at the park with my kids yesterday and this car had so much attention in the space of twenty minutes, from Corsa's , Nova's and an old BMW with a Union Jack in a window, that I would not be surprised if the undamaged Stil-Auto/Fondmetal alloys and a few other bits have magically vanished over night.
