They weigh a lot, test drove 2, one jap import, and the sheer wieght put me off completely, but thats just me, and Im kinda used to the Tegs weight I guess.

Beautiful build quality, not a rattle in there, obvuously built to last, and interior was dated but reasonably substancial, not quite a poit of boasting I wouldnt have thought thou, but not the worst about.

Id be interested to see the power to weight diffs between your car and the scoobs you've raced, as 290 odd would most likely be whats need to offset the difference?

Edit: whoops, just re-read and saw your torque figure, thats huge!! so I imagine it offsets the weight pretty well.

Hi all.

Had a little play last night with an RB5/WRX STi and done both. Pi$$ed over the RB5 and left it for dead, but the STi there was hardly anything in it. RB5 was I think a standard one, but the STi was modded ie. exhaust.

So, for the money I think I will stick to the GT4. It cost me £6,000 and for the same year 1994 STi probably £8,000 - £9,000. Plus the interior on the GT4 is not like a nissan micra

Regards

ScoobyKev

Is your GT4 modified to more than 260bhp ? Never had any problems on track against ones with less than this. (99MY)

It is modded a bit, is the STi pushing out 260 bhp then..? I'd like to have a proper play to compare the performance.

The only GT-4 I raced I stuffed

From your posts I've concluded your car is modified a fair bit so it stands to reason it'll have some impreza's but that some modified Impreza's will have you, etc. I just hope your not like co55ie where you think your car will take any car/plane/boat/bike/machine on the planet!

The very fact you raced two scoobs in a night suggests were way to easy to entice into a race!!

Rich.

1. Hybrid
2. Blitz induction kit
3. Mongoose
4. Superchip (Just another name for a fuel cut def)

Went to PE a couple of weeks ago and showing 280 bhp - 289 lbs/ft. They said it was boosting at 1 bar but the workshop was very hot and hence heat soak. On a cooler day they said I could be seeing 290 - 300 bhp. Thats why I could do the STi...LOL

Rich.

As standard from what I've read about 220 - 230 bhp. But you'd think with the mods thats been done to the car, it would be showing more than 280 + bhp ..

Each morning I wake up changing my mind either WI/Unichip or go Nos...**** sake can't decide

Regards

Kev..

Then for mods thats it, no more money spent !
