180bhp Golf Anniversary
#1
Anyone tried one?
I'm still busy trying to get a fun motor (co car) without breaking the bank on the tax etc. This one comes in fairly well (ish).
Tried the PD 150 - just couldn't get on with the handling. More feel from a remote control car as to whats going on.
Is the suspension the same on the Anniversary?

Knock it - wouldn't dream of it!!!
Its not a good option for me because its a company car and although the emissions are pretty good at 202 it still has a high extra contribution. Not sure how they work these out - but it could be to do with unknown residuals etc.
I've not heard one bad thing about the motor itself - apart from a bit of badge snobbery!!!

Nick,
Try posting on http://www.uk-mkivs.net/forum/default.asp
AFAIK the suspension on the Anniversary is the same as the GTi 150bhp's, but the wheels at 18".
BTW, I have a PD150 with 17" wheels and now that I've had the wheels aligned, it doesn't handle too badly.
Cheers
Tim
