Hey all,
2nd anniversary is just around the corner, anyone have any advice/experience?
I was thinking on going away somewhere, but not too far, perhaps around the South England area (i live in N London). Price not too important, any ideas?
Cheers,
Cem

Treat her to a lovely weekend in the capitol of Wales and it's surrounding countryside.
Living in this part of the world, I can recommend coming this weekend as the scenery is particularly nice at this time of year
Failing that Devon and Cornwall are nice. Get a cottage with a log fire, bottle of wine or two and BINGO.
Snake.

There's an organisation called The Landmark Trust that rent out distinctive and unique buildings (often listed status) for weekends or mid weeks. They range in size from 1 to 8 bedrooms but you do normally have to book up WELL in advance. Sorry I don't have a phone number for them but I think there's a web site.
Apparently none of the buildings have phones or TVs so you can really get away from it. Pretty good if you want something quiet and romantic...

I can recommend Amberley Castle, its west sussex, about 1/2 hour from Arundel
Its a private castle, and its very nice!
Where I got married this year, so at least its easy for me to know where to go for anniversary's!

Live a life of luxury at the Grand Hotel, Eastbourne. You could even take the manager out in your new toy (I took him out in mine and he seemed to enjoy it)!

Landmark Trust phone number is (01628) 825925
My wife and I had our honeymoon in one of these properties (Gothic Temple at Stowe), arrived the day of the British GP at Silverstone (about 2 miles down the road) but luckily in the evening and all the queues had gone!
I highly recommend these guys.

Well mate your doing great so far, after all you have remembered.
Why not a weekend in Paris or Rome, flights are cheap this time of year, both are cities of romance and the strong pound means it'll be cheaper than the UK.

Cem, come south to Croydon, we can book you into the local b&b on the Purley Way where you can awake to the beautiful IKEA towers and smog from local industry and verbal abusive from south london taxi drivers and also see our wonderful trams and get mugged in Croydon shopping centre
